Sustainable-minded companies are 38% more profitable because “People want to work for a Higher Purpose” and eliminating waste (CO2) is just good business.
To help organizations develop sustainable business strategy and capabilities, Murray Guy of Integrated Designs and Tom Myers of Green Planet Consulting have teamed up to share their lessons learned in developing sustainable business models at Innovation Place Research Park and SaskTel.
Murray Guy has helped Innovation Place become recognized as a sustainability champion by integrating sustainability into the building development and operations programs. This work has helped Innovation Place to achieve a 20% reduction in energy use per square foot that has resulted in energy savings of over $500,000 per year.
Murray’s company has also worked with Tom Myers the former Environmental Manager of SaskTel to develop and implement a Green House Management program.
Tom Myers now of Green Planet Consulting was hired by SaskTel to integrate sustainability into their business model. Through Tom’s leadership, SaskTel was the 1st in Saskatchewan to register and report results to the North American Climate Registry.
Tom has developed and implemented a sustainability program that reduced emissions and waste, engaged all employees and made the environmental focus a new way of life. Through his direction and leadership, Sasktel was recognized as one of Canada’s Greenest Employers.
Tom and Murray would welcome the opportunity to share lessons learned and to possibly work with your company to implement a LessCO2 Business Model
