Our People

Establishing a clear mandate to make the world a better place through our work helps us to attract the best talent, and the most devoted team members.

We cannot help being passionate about working towards the higher purpose of a sustainable economy; after all, our youthful group has a vested interest in the future. The enthusiasm that we bring, combined with our experience and knowledge, makes for a unique culture that is a positive addition to our partners project teams.

Our people share common values with respect to nature and outdoor activities. It is no wonder that the type of people we attract have a high level of commitment and passion for preserving and protecting the environment.

At Integrated Designs, we recognize that our employees are our most valuable resource. We believe that a shared sense of responsibility for the company’s performance, physical and mental health, a fun dynamic work environment, and working towards a higher purpose such as helping to create a sustainable economy are the key factors in achieving success for our company and its customers. A lot of companies say things like this, but we demonstrate it through the success and safety of our people, our company, our projects, and our clients.

We use the following metrics when we set goals as a company:

  1. Customer Satisfaction is the essential indicator of whether or not our company can achieve its long term goals of promoting a sustainable economy and attracting the best new talent.
  2. Owner Satisfaction is an overall measure of how well the company is performing both financially and in our pursuit to become a role model company.
  3. Employee Satisfaction is measured in many ways, including an annual employee survey to determine satisfaction level as a result of work environment, rewards, professional development, and overall satisfaction. Our target is to have happy employees who feel like they are respected as partners, and rate their work experience as exceptional compared to that at other consulting companies.
  4. Society Contribution measures our monetary and voluntary contributions to the community. IDI donates volunteer work hours to organizations that are striving to transform the building industry for a more sustainable future.

We invest in our employees in the following ways:

  • We provide opportunities for our employees to pursue professional development
  • Our employees participate in managing the company and are respected as partners
  • In order to insure a dynamic and high involvement organizational structure, we allow our employees to set their own hours and days of work as long as they are delivering successful projects
  • We pay a premium for class-A office space at Innovation Place with lots of day lighting and access to a pool table, a foosball table, a lunch kiosk, and a gym in the beautiful research park setting. As well, we have set up an office in Manitoba that is central to the downtown core complete with great daylighting and warm atmosphere.
  • We offer team building activities and events, such as an annual adventure race and BBQ, Christmas party, paintball, golf, and more
  • We offer in-office company yoga at our Saskatoon office
  • For staff in our Regina and Winnipeg offices, we provide a monthly stipend towards any health benefit plan, such as fitness club membership
  • We administer and provide employee/employer sharing for the Chamber of Commerce employee benefits package.

As part of our pursuit in high performance, we have created an open book company, with a system of joint accountability, where every employee is given a stake in success. Everyone can see how their performance is directly responsible for the success of the company as a whole, and the success of our customers.
